I finished ‘The Mothers’ by @britrbennett today. Multi-layered and prickly, yet infused with the warmth of a San Diego summer, the story made me feel I was reading about people I knew. 📚 And can we please talk about that cover? Half term with the teen ... she revises, and I work in my little attic room. Hoping to make massive strides towards finishing the story that may or may not be book 6 this week. It’s a happy book, and I 💕 it!

Have you missed my engine shots? ✈️This was in a B777 over Turkey today and it was fantastic to be flying again. ✈️ I have to admit I was a little unsure what it would be like but @emirates has strict protocols and, apart from wearing the mask throughout the flight and some tweaks to the f&b service, it wasn’t massively different to usual ✈️

Tasting the menu at @mintleafdxb to celebrate being granted my Golden Visa in Dubai. A transient place for many expats, Dubai has been home to me since we arrived 22 years ago. I’ve lived most of my adult life here and I’m so grateful and so overjoyed to be granted the coveted 10-year residency. Thank you 🇦🇪 PS the food at Mint Leaf is 👌👌👌

If you’ve followed my stories and wondered why I’m posting so many outfit pix when I’m clearly not a fashionista, it’s because I made a decision to wear all the clothes in my closet before buying anything new. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 And I have a lot of clothes, especially ones I don’t wear. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻The pix were a part of me holding myself accountable to come up with new combinations of old clothes, and to wear things that have hung, ignored, in my wardrobe for too long. If they feel good, they stay. If not, they go to the wonderful cause that is @thriftforgood. 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻 I love clothes but I believe passionately in sustainable fashion. Who’s in for a wardrobe challenge - and who’d like to see more of my journey? 💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻
